MERCHANTS

If you would like to apply and join the Castro Art Walk, please review our rules for the participating merchants:

  1. Must be located within the Castro District

  2. Have a rotating art program changing 1 to 3 months

  3. Solo or group artists showcase, prominently displayed

  4. Have to be open on first Friday of every month 5-8 pm

  5. New members must send press kit with photos of venue

  6. Must send new event/showcase information, no less than 1 week before the next art walk for newsletter and social media purposes

  7. Must apply 1.5 months before the art walk for us to process your application and prepare everything in time


Volunteers

If you would like to help the Castro Art Walk and Arts District, you can! Please write to us and let us know how you would like to help.

We are looking for:

  • Flyer Hand Out

  • Photographers

  • Videographers

Must be available 1 week before the walk to pass out flyers. Must be available the night of the art walk for photo and video.


ARTISTs

We encourage artists interested in sharing their work during the Castro Art Walk to reach out to participating small businesses in the Castro to schedule gallery time & space. The volunteers organizing the Castro Art Walk currently do not place artists. Once artists have found a merchant + location to exhibit, we work with small business owners to promote your art & include you in our community map & event.
