ARIEL GOLD EXHIBITION

SPOTLIGHT SHOWCASE

Art Attack SF is proud to present San Francsico-based abstract artist Ariel Gold for a spotlight showcase. Join us Thursday August 1st from 6-9pm for the Opening Reception during the Castro Art Walk. The event is free and open to the public. The exhibition is on view August 1st- September 1st. Gallery hours: Thurs-Sun 1-6pm

Artist: Ariel Gold

Working primarily in acrylics, Gold’s work revolves around color and how we associate, interact and interpret it. Her art is about relationships between people and their environment, whether it is a physical place or a feeling created by an experience in that space. Gold’s abstract peices are visually stunning; her bold use of color and simple brushstrokes reveal a techincal mastery of painting with an air of playfulness and whimsy. You can’t help being absorbed in the sumptious, tactile canvases. Her most recent series Brushstrokes will be exhibited at the gallery, as well as select pieces of her series Pixilated Journey in which the digital and material collide into vivid, energetic works of abstraction.

Hosts:

Art Attack SF is an art space for contemporary work and community-minded pop-up events. The gallery features rotating exhibitions of emerging artists primarily from the Bay Area and surrounding West Coast. Established in 2012, the gallery is located in San Francisco’s vibrant Castro district.

Bloom

Artists Jenny Feinberg and Jen Meyer come together for their first joint exhibition. ‘Bloom’ has been defined as ‘a state or time of beauty, freshness, and vigor’, ‘high development of achievement’, ‘to mature ones potential’, ‘to shine out or become more fully expressed’ or ‘to occur unexpectedly or in a remarkable quantity or degree’. These definitions loosely point to an outcome while inviting the audience to relate their own journey to the works.

Join us in celebrating the opening of this beautiful exhibition on August 1st from 6pm-9pm. As always, there will be snacks, drinks, and music by DJ Will Morgan to complement the works of two lovely local artists!

Bloom will be up until August 31st.
